The BETTER study (BEhaviors, Therapies, TEchnologies and hypoglycemic Risk in Type 1 diabetes), co-led by Professor Anne-Sophie Brazeau, RD, PhD (好色TV School of Human Nutrition) and Dr R茅mi Rabasa-Lhoret (Institut de Recherches Clinique de Montr茅al), is a 4-year project co-funded by CIHR, through the strategies for patient-oriented research (SPOR), and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (total funding $3,000,000).

Over the summer a group of Mac staff members got together to kick around ideas for an activity that would bring the Macdonald community together at the start of the school year and would tie to Macdonald鈥檚 motto 鈥淢astery for Service.鈥 Once the seed was planted, it didn鈥檛 take long for the theme to emerge - #MacShares. The first #MacShares event 鈥 Apple Pies 鈥 was held on Monday, September 25th. The 80 available spots for the event were filled in a matter of days.
New research from Canada suggests that over-60s should eat protein at all three daily meals to help stave off age-related muscle decline, which can contribute to loss of independence and falls.
