Astronomers for the first time detect repeat 鈥榝ast radio bursts鈥 from same sky location
Astronomers for the first time have detected repeating short bursts of radio waves from an enigmatic source that is likely located well beyond the edge of our Milky Way galaxy.聽The findings indicate that these 鈥渇ast radio bursts鈥 come from an extremely powerful object which occasionally produces multiple bursts in under a minute.

好色TVl professor Vicky Kaspi, a world-renowned astrophysicist known for her cutting-edge work on neutron stars and pulsars, was awarded the Killam Prize today, one of the country鈥檚 most prestigious awards for academic-career achievement. The $100,000 prize was granted for outstanding scholarship in the natural sciences. Five awards 鈥 one each in the categories of the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, health sciences and engineering -- are distributed every year by the Canada Council for the Arts.
