My research program broadly examines how biology generates, withstands, and responds to applied forces, with foci in nuclear mechanotransduction in aging and cancer, cardiomyocyte forces and mechanics in disease, and bioinspired ultra-tough composites. Our team is made of a multidisciplinary cohort of engineers, biologists, physicists, and computer scientists.
