  Black\, MD\, FRCPC\, is Professor of Medicine (Neurology) at the Universi
 ty of Toronto. She is an internationally known cognitive and stroke neurol
 ogist. She was the inaugural Executive Director of the Toronto Dementia Re
 search Alliance (2012-20)\, and in April 2020\, she became Scientific Dire
 ctor of the Dr. Sandra Black Centre for Brain Resilience and Recovery. Her
  research bridges dementia and stroke\, using standardized\, quantitative 
 neuroimaging\, cognitive\, functional and neuropsychiatric measures\, gene
 tics\, and neuropathology to study brain-behavior relationships in the com
 mon dementias.聽 Dr. Black was appointed Member of the Order of Ontario in 
 2011 and Officer of the Order of Canada in 2015 for her contributions to A
 lzheimer鈥檚 disease\, stroke and vascular dementia.聽\n\nDr. Black will disc
 uss vascular dementia\, who is most at risk\, and how it differs from othe
