More precisely\, we explain how the theta mu ltiplier\, the half-integral weight automorphy factor and the Weil represe ntation occurring in the classical transformation laws all have a geometri c origin\, that is\, they can all be constructed within a given moduli pro blem on abelian schemes. To do so\, we introduce and study new algebro-geo metric constructions such as theta multiplier bundles\, metaplectic stacks and\n bundles of half-forms\, which could be of independent interest. Appl ications include a geometric theory of modular forms of half-integral (in the sense of Shimura)\, and their generalizations to higher degree\, as we ll as giving new\, explicit formulas for\n determinant bundles on abelian s chemes.\n DTSTART:20161006T143000Z DTEND:20161006T160000Z LOCATION:Room 920\, Burnside Hall\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 0B9\, 805 rue Sherbrooke Ouest SUMMARY:Luca Candelori\, LSU URL:/mathstat/channels/event/luca-candelori-lsu-263270 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
