 chelle Douglas Lecture is held in conjunction with the Martine Roy Student
  Colloquium\, with the aim of encouraging student scholarship and enhancin
 g public engagement around issues related to equality and justice for LGBT
 I communities. The Lecture and Colloquium were established in recognition 
 of the path-breaking work of these remarkable individuals towards the adva
 ncement of equality for LGBTI people in Canada. The Lecture and Colloquium
