Biography: 

Pasha is an Inuk from Kuujjuaq, Quebec and Kanien’kehá:ka from Kahnawake, Mohawk Territory. She is a multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and researcher. Her creative practice and community work are deeply rooted in her cultural identity and her passion for Indigenous education, self-representation, and intergenerational knowledge-sharing. As a mother and storyteller, Pasha moves between mediums and spaces with a distinct ability to bridge community and academia. Her artistic work includes filmmaking, soapstone carving, and sealskin jewelry making—each of which she not only practices but teaches through hands-on workshops in urban Indigenous organizations across Tiohtià:ke (Montreal) and beyond. She was the Administrative Coordinator for the First People's House at ºÃÉ«TVl for the past year, and she's contributed to a variety of research and creative projects that weave together community-based methodologies and visual storytelling— highlighting the importance of Indigenous-led narratives in academic and institutional settings. She’s committed to ensuring that Indigenous art and knowledge systems are not just preserved but celebrated, shared, and expanded upon. Pasha’s work speaks to a future where Indigenous creativity thrives, and stories are told with care, clarity, and power.
