This presentation will introduce the pragmatic-explanatory continuum\, d iscuss the design of trials that are fit for purpose\, and overview the He alth Data Research Network Canada (HDRN Canada) Pragmatic Trials Training Program (https://www.schulich.uwo.ca/pragmatictrialstraining/).\n\nLearnin g Objectives\n\nAt the end of this talk\, attendees will be able to:\n\n\n Describe the pragmatic-explanatory continuum in the context of clinical tr ials\;\n Understand the need to design trials that are fit for purpose\;\n E xplore the educational resources available through the HDRN Canada Pragmat ic Trials Training Program.\n\n\nSpeaker Bio\n\nTaylor McLinden\, PhD\, is the Manager of the Health Data Research Network Canada (HDRN Canada) Prag matic Trials Training Program\, an initiative coordinated by the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University.
