Dean's EDI Update - April 2025

Excerpt from Dean Yolande E. Chan’s "The Dean's Update " (April 3, 2025) outlining the ºÃÉ«TVl Desautels Faculty of Management’s EDI efforts.

On February 27, the Laidley Centre for Business Ethics and Equity (LCBEE) hosted a thought-provoking event on Black female entrepreneurship that connected academic research with the lived experiences of Black female entrepreneurs.

Organized in collaboration with the ºÃÉ«TVl Desautels EDI team and the , this event provided a space for meaningful dialogue and knowledge-sharing, highlighting both the challenges and successes of Black women entrepreneurs.

To mark International Women’s Day in March, LCBEE held a panel spotlighting the ‘Women of Desautels: Past, present, and future’, including the granddaughter of the ºÃÉ«TVl’s first female commerce graduate, current BCom students and notable alumnae, underscoring the Faculty’s long-standing commitment to fostering gender equity in business and management education.
