As the Ombudsperson for Students, Dr. Limin Jao (she/her) provides an independent, impartial, and confidential service through which students may seek equitable and informal resolution of any University-related concern. The Ombudsperson may also, where appropriate, review University policies, guidelines, and procedures affecting students, make recommendations for change, and promote discussion of student-related concerns across the University.

UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development in India (MGIEP) recently hosted Faculty of Education Dean, Vivek Venkatesh, and Professor Joseph Levitan, DISE, for a dialogue on community based participatory action research, and pluralism and polarization.

Their visit was part of a research tour including a dialogue on these topics to foster collaboration and to exchange ideas on education and societal challenges.

According to World University Rankings by Subject 2025, released on January 22 by Times Higher Education (THE), ��ɫTVl ranks among the top 90 in the world in all of the 11 subjects assessed, placing six subjects in the top 50. The University placed third in Canada in in Education Studies and six other domains.
