Emilie Conway to clerk at the International Court of Justice

We are happy to announce that Emilie Conway, BCL/LLBâ13, has been selected by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to participate in the Courtâs 2014-2015 Judicial Assistants Programme.
Judicial Assistants are chosen to work directly with one judge, helping him or her in the preparation for hearings and the drafting of judgments.
Ms Conway was selected to work directly with the President of the Court, Judge Peter Tomka. She will begin work in September 2014.
Professor RenĂ© Provost indicated that it âis a mark of confidence on President Tomka's part that he has picked Emilie as his judicial assistant. He has selected a string of șĂÉ«TVl clerks over the last several years, before he was elected president of the Court, which speaks to the qualities of our graduates.â
âIâm honoured to have been selected by President Tomka. The coming year promises to be both formative and unforgettable,â says Emilie Conway. âI will do my very best to represent the Faculty!â
